With the so-called “Great Resignation” well underway, the importance of professional relationships, a potential launchpad for success in a new job, grows ever stronger. Over recent years, social media sites like LinkedIn have increasingly been used by professionals to generate and maintain relationships. There is no doubt that it has become part and parcel of how we do business in the legal world. But as the line between professional and personal on these platforms becomes increasingly blurred, so has the line between ownership of professional contact information.
