New Zealand firm wrong to deduct holiday leave during covid lockdown

New Zealand’s employment court has ruled that a timber manufacturing company was wrong to force its workers into using their annual leave during the covid-19 lockdown, without consultation. The ruling will be a concern for other employers that asked staff to take annual leave during the crisis.
