New Zealand’s employers, and their lawyers, have been left confused and exasperated by unclear holiday pay guidance distributed by national authorities.

The country’s Holidays Act 2003 has been an ongoing source of head-scratching for employers and employees, John Hannan, a barrister at Bankside Chambers, told IEL.
