Barcelona-based Meta content moderation subcontractor CCC Barcelona Digital Services (CCCBDS) is responsible for the psychological damage suffered by a worker, a Catalan court has found.

Upholding a decision from Spain’s social security agency last Thursday, the 28th Social Court of Barcelona ruled in favour of a 26-year-old Brazilian who has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for the last five years after being exposed harmful content on Facebook and Instagram.
