Malaysia urged to radically reform labour laws as economy recovers

A Malaysian business group has urged the nation's government to radically reform its labour laws to boost productivity and adapt the economy to the post-pandemic world.

Following plans announced by the government to raise the minimum wage by the end of the year, the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (Samenta) said any increase should be aligned with the country’s economic output, which is currently declining.
