Food couriers in the UK working for Just Eat risk being “robo-fired” by a faulty automated decision-making process, according to a new report by the Worker Info Exchange (WIE). The takeaway delivery giant says deactivation decisions are subject to human review.

The 31-page WIE report analyses the circumstances that led to the summary dismissals of 11 Just Eat couriers working in nine cities across the UK after allegations of “fraudulent activity” in breach of their courier agreements.
