E-commerce giant Lazada has announced an “an enhanced support package” for Singapore employees laid off in controversial circumstances last month.

The Alibaba Group’s primary e-commerce platform in South-East Asia had been criticised for being impersonal and a lack of empathy when it suddenly let go of more than 100 workers across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
