Employers should welcome a Labour Party proposal to double the time limit for aggrieved employees to bring claims before the UK employment tribunal, lawyers say.

Speaking at a fringe event at the opposition party’s annual conference earlier this month, Shadow Women and Equalities Secretary Anneliese Dodds announced plans to extend redundancy protection for pregnant women and to double the time limit from three to six months for all workplace discrimination claims.
