Amid a rise in remote working and new surveillance technologies, the UK’s privacy watchdog has warned businesses against excessively snooping on their employees.

Workplace monitoring includes tracking calls, messages, and keystrokes, taking screenshots, webcam footage, or audio recordings, or using specialist software to track activity, which collectively have raised concerns about employee privacy.
