In a win for digital platforms and other affected businesses, sweeping reforms to Australia’s industrial relations laws have been shelved just days after being tabled by the Albanese government.

Australia’s Labor Party introduced the Closing Loopholes Bill to parliament on Monday, a 284-page document containing significant changes to the Fair Work Act which, experts say, would add significant red tape to gig economy businesses and create a new class of worker.
