Australia could give workers right to refuse bosses’ calls

Australia’s workers could soon have the legal right not to be contacted by their bosses outside of working hours under new right to disconnect legislation backed by the employment minister.

The Fair Work Amendment (Right to Disconnect) Bill protects the right of employees not to monitor, read, or respond to emails, take work-related calls, or engage in other communications during non-working hours.
