With skills shortages reported across various sector, it seems a good time for Australians to take advantage of a tight labour market by looking for new opportunities. Yet a new study suggests many wantaway workers are ultimately choosing to stay with their current employers.

Specialised recruiter Robert Half, which polled 500 hiring managers and 1,000 office workers across Australia, found that almost six-in-ten (58%) businesses have struggled to close the deal with their first-choice job candidates due to existing employers’ efforts to retain talent.
