Demonstrating the real risk of exiting employees leaving with sensitive or confidential information, two of the world’s largest tech companies have reportedly been the victims of trade secret theft.

Former Google engineer Linwei Ding was arrested on 6 March on four counts of trade secrets theft in connection with an alleged plan to steal proprietary AI information on behalf of two Chinese firms, the US Justice Department (DoJ) said.
