The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has warned the British government that an AI employment bill is “urgently” needed to protect workers from being left behind by rapid technological changes.

A poll conducted by YouGov on behalf of the TUC found that most British workers support strong protections against AI. The study found that 69% of working adults think employers should have to consult their staff before introducing new tech like AI into the workplace, while 71% oppose AI being used in performance management and bonus decisions.
