Launched as a pilot project last October, New York City’s MyCity chatbot was praise by Mayor Eric Adams as the first ever city-wide use of AI technology with the aim of helping anyone who types queries into the online portal.

Upon its launch, the city said the AI chatbot would let businesses “access trusted information” from more than 2,000 city business webpages and encouraged employers to treat it as a resource on compliance, business incentives, and best practices.
