UK gig workers face low pay, anxiety, and stress, study finds

As debate continues to rage about future regulation of the global gig economy, a new academic study shows that over half of platform workers in the UK are earning below the national minimum wage with many expecting to lose their livelihoods in the next 12 months.

The join research project from Bristol, Cambridge, and Oxford universities surveyed 510 gig workers about their work experiences and views on labour rights.
