Starbucks has not broken federal labour law, the Seattle company’s former CEO Howard Schultz said today in an occasionally testy exchange with Democrats on Capitol Hill.

Schultz, who stepped down from his role earlier this month, was testifying before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions to answer claims he was involved in a union-busting campaign at the coffee giant.
