Workers in Singapore will not be pressured to attend company events or take part in programmes unrelated to their work after the unveiling of new guidelines aimed at boosting cultural “sensitivity” in the workplace.

Coming mid-February, an update to the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices (TGFEP) will also ensure that workers supporting causes outside the workplace do not face any kind of “bullying, harassment, or ostracism”.
