Northwestern University and its president are being sued by the school’s former head football coach, Pat Fitzgerald, for $130m following his dismissal for links to a hazing scandal.

The lawsuit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois, asserts that, after allegations of hazing among the Northwestern Wildcats football team, the university unlawfully terminated Fitzgerald’s employment and defamed the coach, destroying his reputation.
