Mexico is to increase its daily minimum wage by 22% in 2022, the county’s minimum wage commission has announced.
The Council of Representatives of Conasami, the national commission tasked with such decisions, unanimously agreed to the increase on 1 December.
The general minimum wage will rise from 141.70 to 172.87 pesos a day, while in the northern border free zone the daily rate increases from 213.39 to 260.34 pesos.
