In a significant move towards safeguarding the rights of older workers, amendments to Armenia’s labour code are set to revolutionise the employment landscape.

Unlike current regulations, this new law aims to eliminate age-based discrimination by prohibiting employers from entering fixed-term employment contracts with individuals who have reached retirement age (those aged 63 and eligible for old-age pensions or those aged 65 but not eligible for a pension).
