Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has announced the arrival in New York of new partner Harris M Mufson, who joins as co-chair of the firm’s whistleblower practice.
Mufson joins from Proskauer Rose, where he served as co-head of the firm’s whistleblowing and retaliation practice as well as its disability, accommodations, and leave management group.
Mufson’s practice focuses on representing employers in disputes covering a wide range of matters, including discrimination and retaliation, whistleblowing, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, defamation, breach of contract, wage and hour laws, and restrictive covenants.
In addition, Mufson counsels clients on compliance with employment-related laws, as well as the development, implementation, and enforcement of personnel policies and procedures. He has also conducted numerous internal investigations regarding sensitive employment matters.
“I’m excited to join Gibson Dunn as I begin the next chapter of my career,” said Mufson. “Today, employers are confronting ever more complex employment matters, and I look forward to working alongside such an elite group of talent to help our clients navigate cutting-edge issues.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Harris to Gibson Dunn,” said Barbara L Becker, the firm’s chair and managing partner. “Harris’ strong experience and stellar reputation will nicely complement our market-leading labor and employment practice, and further expand its deep bench.”
Mylan L Denerstein, co-partner-in-charge of the New York office, added: “As a rising star in the employment law bar, Harris has built a highly regarded practice that we believe will continue to thrive at Gibson Dunn. Harris will also be a leader in the continued expansion of our labour and employment practice in New York.”
