Employers need to be wary when monitoring staff computers

Employment lawyers have warned that the monitoring of employee computers by bosses could fall foul of UK legislation.

It recently emerged that the Cabinet Office will monitor the computers of its civil servants to track office attendance. First reported in the Sunday Telegraph, the move is aimed at getting staff to comply with a policy that they should be in the office four days a week.
