The number of employment disputes relating to flexible working requests is on the rise as businesses tighten up their hybrid working policies, new research suggests.
There were 190 employment tribunal claims relating to flexible working in 2021-22, up from 186 the previous year, according to data from GQ|Littler.
Data compiled by the firm shows 137 such disputes were decided in 2019-2020, down from 154 in 2018-19, but still higher than the 84 recorded in 2017-2018.
