CMS has promoted six lawyers to partner across its international employment and pensions practices as part of the firm’s largest global round of partnership promotions to date.
Four of the promotions are in Germany with Dr Alexandra Otto and Kira Falter in Cologne, and Amelie Schäfer and Dr Maximilian Koschker in Stuttgart, while Laura Clarke in London and Catriona Aldridge in Edinburgh complete the new partner lineup.
The promotions are part of CMS’s largest-ever round of global partner promotions since 2019 when 49 were promoted to partner worldwide. This year, the firm has made up 52 new partners globally, spanning 22 cities across Europe, Latin America, and Africa.
The UK accounts for 44% of global promotions with 23 new partners appointed. Women account for 43% of new partner promotions in the UK and 37% of new partners globally.
“The scale of this year’s partner promotions, which extend across a broad range of countries as well as practice and sector groups, is inspiring especially in these challenging covid times,” said Penelope Warne, CMS UK’s senior partner.
“It is also an indication of the strength and confidence of our global business. We remain committed to providing opportunities for progression for all our people and these promotions reflect the firm’s diverse range of talent.”
