In the latest edition of “What were they thinking?”, a boss in China has threatened to cancel weekends off after his staff ignored messages sent to them over the two-day break.

Wen Yanbin, president of the state-owned Design Research Institute of JCFC in Jiangxi province, was reportedly unhappy with three employees who failed to reply to messages he sent them on Saturday 23 September.
