Diplomats profiting from modern slavery can face tribunal claims, says UK Supreme Court

A Saudi diplomat will face an employment tribunal claim, brought by a migrant domestic worker, after the UK Supreme Court held that he is not shielded by diplomatic immunity.

Josephine Wong, a Philippines national who claims to be a victim of human trafficking and modern slavery, was forced to work in the household of Saudi Arabian diplomat Khalid Basfar, after she was brought to the UK in August 2016.
