A group of more than 30 civil society organisations has called on the UK government to urgently introduce a new mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence law aimed at curbing corporate abuses.

The campaign is backed by several large UK employers, including supermarket giants Tesco and Co-op, fashion retailers ASOS and Primark, tech behemoth Microsoft, as well as well-known British brands such as John Lewis and Twinings.
