In a significant ruling, the state government of South Australia must compensate a former employee who developed a heart condition following a covid-19 booster.
An employee of Baptist Care SA, Daniel Shepherd was subcontracted to the Department of Child Protection (DCP) when he received his first two Pfizer covid vaccinations in August and September 2021.
Following these shots, which were encouraged but not mandated by his then-employer, Shepherd suffered flu-like symptoms, minor chest pain, and body aches that lasted about two weeks.
