Three-in-four Americans approve of large scale industrial action taking place across the continental United States this October as workers take advantage of a tight jobs market to improve their pay and working conditions.
From concerns over health and safety, harassment, and discrimination to increasing pay and healthcare benefits, workers are rising up against several big-name employers this #Striketober. To date, 259 labour-related actions – 47 this month alone – have been recorded by Cornell University.
