The Trades Union Congress (TUC) wants the UK government to grant unions the digital right to access platform workplaces so labour organisers can talk to gig workers about what union membership can offer.

The proposals from the TUC are similar to New Zealand’s Employment Relations Act 2000, which grants unions a right to physically access workplaces to discuss union business with existing members and to recruit new members.
