The minimum qualifying monthly salary for foreign professionals to work in Singapore is to increase, government officials have confirmed. Changes to retirement and re-employment ages have also been announced in the latest shake up of the city’s workplace regulations.
New applicants for the Lion City’s Employment Pass (EP) must earn SGD5,600 (£3,280) a month from 1 January 2025, up from the current SGD5,000 (£2,930) threshold. The new salary scale will also apply to those renewing their EP passes from 1 January 2026.
