Faced with a declining number of taxi drivers, Singapore’s largest traditional taxi operator, ComfortDelGro, is rolling out a new scheme offering drivers a full-time salary with fixed hours and corporate benefits.

The pilot scheme, which runs until the end of March, includes a base pay of S$1,800 (£1,058) and a performance bonus if drivers meet targets.
