The Singaporean government has given more details on upcoming protections for platform workers that are expected to come into effect in the second half of 2024. 

As announced last November, gig workers will receive compensation for workplace injuries at the same level as regular employees, including coverage of medical leave wages and medical expenses, as well as a lump sum for permanent injuries or death.
