In a unanimous opinion published Wednesday, the US Supreme Court has made it easier to bring workplace discrimination lawsuits against allegedly unwanted job transfers and to potentially challenge employers’ diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, lawyers warn.

The appeal centred on a St Louis police officer allegedly transferred to a new post after her new boss decided that a male officer would be a better fit for dangerous assignments.
