SCOTUS supports delivery drivers’ right to dodge arbitration

In a rare 9-0 decision, the US Supreme Court has reversed a lower appeals court ruling that threw out a proposed class action over delivery drivers’ status as independent contractors.

The class action was brought by Neal Bissonnette, a delivery driver for LePage Bakeries, which he claims deprived him of wages by treating him as an independent contractor despite doing the work of a full-time employee.
