Amazon says it intends to appeal a court finding that it broke Spanish labour laws in misclassifying more than 2,000 delivery drivers as self-employed contractors.

The dispute, brought by Spain’s social security body, centred on whether the e-commerce giant was effectively controlling the working schedules, working areas, and payments of 2,166 couriers through its “Flex” app.
