With Ramadan fast approaching, employers need to consider how they can help their Muslim employees during the month-long holy period. Even the smallest of changes can ensure that Muslim staff observe their faith without it impacting their work and their organisation’s bottom line, lawyers advise.

Of the 1.9 billion followers of Islam, there are around 30 million Muslims in Europe and the United States, many of whom will fast from dawn to sunset, abstaining from food and drink, and praying multiple times each day between 22 March and 21 April.
