In the lead up to Labor Day earlier this week, the National Labor Relations Board released decision after decision enhancing employee protections and smoothing the way for increased union representation in the workplace.
In just two weeks the Democrat-controlled board overturned several Trump-era precedents, clarifying the standard to prove retaliation, developing a new standard preventing employers from unilaterally changing terms without first bargaining with unions, and, most recently, restoring labour protections for non-employees.
