New Australian government to implement all Respect@Work recommendations

Employers Down Under will soon have to take proactive steps to eliminate sexual harassment from the workplace under legislative reforms committed to by the new Australian government.

Following the Labor Party’s federal election victory last weekend, incoming Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said implementing the Respect@Work report’s full 55 recommendations will be among his top priorities.

Published in March 2020, the report by the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) proposed measures to address and prevent pervasive workplace sexual harassment.
