A Muslim firefighter has had his claims of discrimination and harassment dismissed after the East London Employment Tribunal accepted that his manager had followed procedures in submitting historical complaints about pig-skin leather boots and racist Facebook posts by colleagues for investigation.

Court documents show that British Muslim Kamran Hussain, who joined the London Fire Brigade in May 2004, had experienced discrimination and bullying from multiple co-workers in the early years of his career, but these did not form part of the claim before the tribunal.
