Implemented or not, the EU’s new working conditions directive has employers’ full attention

The deadline to implement the Directive on transparent and predictable working conditions was 1 August. Although most EU member states have not met this deadline – only a few, including Germany, Italy, and Netherlands have done so – employers across Europe have begun preparing to comply with the administrative burden of the Directive’s requirements.
