Dutch legislation already complies, in part, with the EU’s new work-life balance directive. Indeed, in some cases, Dutch legislation offers more favourable conditions than the directive prescribes.
The Dutch legislature intended to implement the directive where necessary through the Paid Parental Leave Act. This Act mainly changes the Flexible Working Act (Wfw) and the Work and Care Act Act (Wazo). Below, we discuss the various topics that recur in the directive.
