Germany making no progress on gender pay gap, studies find

Two studies published in Germany last week found that not only had the gender pay gap not been reduced in the last year, but certain other aspects of workplace gender equality have regressed since 2022.

A report from Germany’s Federal Statistics Office (FSO) found that women in Germany earned an average of €20.64 (£17.65) per hour in 2023, compared to the male average of €25.30 (£21.64).
