Canadian employers could face fines of up to CA$100,000 (£58,000) per day for bringing in replacement workers during industrial action under new draft legislation introduced this month.

The draft amendments to the Canadian Labor Code ban businesses from hiring temporary staff to do the work of unionised employees who are on strike or locked out.
