Labour and skill shortages due to a lack of new talent entering Australia can be solved by reopening national and state borders, concerned business leaders have told the federal government in Canberra.

Australia has initiated some of the world’s strictest border controls to stop the spread of covid-19 and its variants. However, these restrictions have left businesses scrambling for the talent needed to fulfil increased domestic and foreign demand for services and products.
