US retailers are being forced to rethink their “churn-and-burn” relationship with staff, a new study has found.

For decades, the retail industry has publicly expressed the key role of their workers while simultaneously treating those same employees as expendable, according to Retail Systems Research (RSR), a research firm run by the retailer sector.
