Activision Blizzard will pay $35m to settle a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) probe into workplace-related misconduct and violations of the watchdog’s whistleblower protection rule, the federal agency announced last Friday.

The SEC launched its investigation into the video game developer in September 2021 over concerns that the company was unable to accurately monitor and assess employee misconduct claims, and provide accurate information on their risk to investors.
