New Zealand plans to train, upskill, and educate older workers to keep them employed for longer as workforces age around the globe.

Currently, older workers make up around one-third of New Zealand’s workforce with almost half of those aged 65 to 69 in some form of employment. The government said it wants to ensure more people over 50 can continue to bring their skills and knowledge to the labour market and help meet the country’s future economic needs.
