An employee who was shot seven times while at work cannot claim workers’ compensation insurance benefits as he could not prove that his injuries were work related, a Florida appeals court ruled this week.

Mohammed Bouayad, a general manager of Value Car Rental in Orlando, was finishing his shift on the evening of 28 June 2019 when he was shot at close range.
